Arundel Clocks has dated this piece to the 1940s.
I have for sale a 1940s ship's clock a very heavy clock of some quality, it is in really good original condition fully cleaned and serviced so keeping good time.
M ? so might have had forces use in the past.

The movement and platform have been fully restored as has the casework.
The Case
The case is solid brass and steel and is 9”(The widest back plate part) across x depth of 4” and is in really nice condition.

The Dial
The dial is in original condition 7" wide in painted white steel; the clock also retains its original black ornate hands and red seconds hand and is signed Smiths 8 day and made in England.
The Movement

The movement is a Time only; the movement is in good working condition and going eight days just been fully ultrasonic cleaned and restored as has the platform escapement but timekeeping is within 2 -5 minutes a week this is an old clock, not a quartz clock.

A winding key is included.
Overall a very original heavy clock that contains all of its original features is quite a rare find these days.
I have had many of these clocks this is by far the cleanest best example I have ever seen.

As with all my clocks, this one is sold with a ‘back-to-base’ 3-month guarantee. I also offer future clock servicing, which I carry out personally at a heavily discounted rate.
I will post worldwide.
