Antique Georgian Mahogany Linen Press on Chest C1780 Wdb4685/19.10

18th century
Description

Lovely antique george 111 mahogany linen press and dating from aorund 1780. It has a cornice top with mahogany frieze above two single panelled doors with brass divider and with two internal sliding trays and a row of three small drawers above two long drawers with small brass handles. The base is moulded to the top above three long drawers all of which are oak lined with turned ebony knob handles and is moulded to the base standing on turned feet.

The top separates for ease of transporting.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and oozing the charm and character of the georgian period. Measures: 86" high X height to top of base 38" X 23" deep X internal depth (top) 18" X 50" wide
