Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The bronze has a fine warm patina, stands about 10 inches (25.2cm) tall on a circular marble base with a diameter of 3.5 inches (9cm). There is no visible signature, although this is an accomplished sculpture and a well cast bronze.
Condition: Excellent. Any light marks and wear are consistent with age.
Date: c.1880-90.
