Huge 19th century Tibetan bronze statue of Buddha,c1890.This is a very large and imposing example weighing in excess of 50kg (I can hardly lift it!) and around 3ft tall. The statue is beautifully cast and depicts Buddha in a seated contemplative and very serene pose. It has fine detail to the hands, feet, features etc. Highly decorative it would sit well in a traditional or modern setting and would grace any home, hotel, restaurant etc. It has great colour/patina following years of use and handling. Overall condition is good with only very minor surface wear, in line with age and use. The pads on the base are merely to assist with moving the statue given its weight.
