Description

A fine example from the mid 17thc is this cast bronze mortar for use in the apothecary or kitchen....it is decorated on the side with four "contrafuertes" spanish word for buttresses and four raised square panels....the mortar has gained a very good colour from years of constant use and is in very good condition with no cracks or holes...a real collectors piece!
