Fine pair of large Grand Tour statues,c1880. Well cast in bronze or brass and mounted on marble bases they weigh a hefty 10.2kg for the pair. Depicting neo-classical figures there is nice detail to the features, clothing etc. They have taken on good colour/patina following years of handling. Overall condition is good there are some very small nibbles around the edge of the marble but very minor. I am not sure if the wood edging to the base is original or a later addition?
