Pretty 19th Century Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Pumpkin Jar

Description

This is a very pretty Japanese cloisonné vase dating from the Meiji era, circa 1890. The three footed vase is a marvellous fluted pumpkin shape that illustrates great craftsmanship. The intricately detailed cloisonné work to the many curved panels is in beautiful shades of deep blue, turquoise, green, cinnamon and a deep blush red. The vase has a small bronze multi layered chrysanthemum finial and is in perfect condition overall, with no damage or repairs. It measures 11 cms high and 9.5 cms in diameter.
