Description

A charming French Art Deco period gilt-bronze figure of a young naked girl kneeling to feed a small bird.

The girl kneels with her right arm held out as if to feed a young bird standing nearby. She has her hair tied back into a bunch with a rosette fastened over each ear. The bronze is mounted on two rectangular alabaster plinths. The lower of which has a recess for trinkets, or possibly cigarette ash and a black bird is perched on one corner with its wings splayed.

Unsigned.
