Absolutely Lovely Carved and Painted French King Size Bed

1900 - 1920

Description

Absolutely lovely carved and painted wooden French Bed. Turned wooden posts with very nice Acanthus leaves carved decoration. Carved knobs and foliate details. Nice naturally French grey paint with nice blue faded highlights.

The bed has been cleaned and waxed checked for well fitting joints. Suitable for 150cm x 200 cm mattress supported inside the side rails

Head height 132 cm

Foot height 80 cm

Side rail height 26cm

Overall width 150cm

Overall length 218cm

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress)

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices. Please see our web site or e mail for full specifications and prices.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 25 years. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.

If you can't see what you are looking for it may well be worth e mailing to enquire as they have lots of beds awaiting restoration that have not been photographed yet.

We can arrange both national and international delivery. Please send post code for quotation.
