This is a wonderful large 19th century cast iron lion with bags of character and is extremely rare to find in its original paint finish.

The recumbent lion, modelled with paws outstretched looks really majestic and charming. This is a most pleasing antique piece with great impact that would look imposing on a piece of furniture or mantle shelf or indeed in any setting.

The lion measures 72 cms long by 36 cms high by 12 cms deep.
