Glamorganshire Pierced Fretted Dresser

19th century
Description

A small Georgian oak low dresser, the attractively figured oak with a good variety of colour and a fine surface.

The single piece top has a three quarter gallery above three cockbeaded drawers and a strikingly pierced fretted frieze.

The elegantly turned front legs are joined by a twin plank potboard.

The dresser would, originally, have had a rack.

Glamorganshire, circa 1800-10.
