Description

George III period, mahogany inlaid and crossbanded straight front four height chest of drawers, Circa 1780. This chest of drawers with oblong shaped top with inlaid strung and crossbanded border and moulded edge. Over bank of drawers configured 2 small drawers over 3 full width drawers, all graduated in height, with cock-beaded edges, original brass double swan neck pull handles, original brass escutcheons and locks. Flanked by reeded quarter columns. All raised on bracket feet. Pine drawer linings.

A very handsome, high quality and original chest of drawers. In good working order and ready to use.

Dimensions:

This chest of drawers measures approximately 84.5 cm (33.5") tall, 103.5 cm (41") wide, and 53.5 cm (21") deep.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This original chest of drawers is in a very good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. Good colour, polish and patina throughout. Some odd and minor marks and blemishes, in keeping with age and use. Odd minor quality sympathetic repairs. Original handles, escutcheons and locks. In good working order, very serviceable and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
