Large Cold Painted Bronze Group Of A Hound With Stag

A large Austrian cold painted bronze group of a hound with a downed stag. The group is beautifully modelled and painted and is very much of the quality of the lead manufacturer of cold painted bronzes Franz Bergman, it is however unmarked. The whole is in very good condition with some minor wear to the paintwork as would be expected. The quality of the naturalistic paintwork is superb as is the detail of the modelling of the bronze with the group even being completely finished on the bottom. A wonderful large example of cold painted bronze in excellent condition. C.1920.
