Late 18th Century Glamorganshire Oak Dresser Base

Description

Made from irregularly figured native oak, this small dresser base has a richly patinated surface.

The top, which has a moulded edge and a broad front plank, sits above a trio of moulded edge drawers and a striking, cusped and shaped frieze made from a single plank.

The well drawn, ring and baluster turned legs are joined by a planked potboard. The sides are also shaped. Circa 1780-1800.
