PAUL-EDOUARD DELABRIERRE: a finely modelled and beautifully cast BRONZE sculpture of a retriever. Beautifully observed, highly detailed and accurately portrayed, the dog stands alert, ears pricked, apparently having seen something move in the undergrowth. Set upon its original rouge antico marble base, it is signed by the artist and an impressed medal dated 1889, within the bronze. 8.5ins long 6ins high.
