A George 111 Gilt Chatelaine, with Classical Figures C1760

Description

A fine quality early Georgian gilt chatelaine with etui in the Rococo style and two hinged thimble cases c 1760. The gilt metal is cast, embossed and chased. The main central etui is hinged with a sprung button clasp. It is decorated with classical figures in 17th century dress and c scrolls. This main compartment contains a small spoon. The two side compartments would have housed maybe a measure and a thimble. On the reverse is a shaped belt hook. It is missing most of the contents but is in very good condition with no damage at all.
