Description

Anonymous: A charming and very pretty French BRONZE SCULPTURE of a young woman stretching as she wakes up. She stands on a carpet, her right arm stretched upwards; her left hand behind her head. Set upon its original variegated marble base this bronze has acquired a delightful patina and is in perfect condition. 13ins (33cms) high overall. Similar to and probably based upon the famous figure “Awakening” by Paul Philippe (1870-1930). circa 1890-1910.
