Description

Very elegant and super quality Biedermeier sleigh style sofa with scrolling ends and a serpentine back support, circa 1900 and in good original condition.

This is a lovely size at a generous two seater, certainly suitable for everyday use in a living room but would also look great as a decorative hall piece, or perhaps also an end of bed sofa.

The frame is in a wonderful mellow faded walnut colour and waxed finish and the ribbon scroll mouldings just finish it off beautifully.

The watermarked silk is in good condition having been reupholstered recently, finished with a braided edging, bolster and back cushions.

Super piece and classic Biedermeier style.
