Antique French Art Nouveau Mahogany & Burr Walnut Bed Inlaid with Mother of Pearl C1890 Wdb4958/11.7

Description

Gorgeous antique french art nouveau inlaid mahogany & walnut double bedstead and dating from aorund 1890. The headboard has a shaped serpentine top rail above ormolu mounts and a deep cross banded edge with inlaid mahogany stylised art nouveau design inset with mother of pearl. The footboard has a deep top rail again with ormolu mounts to each side and above a more complex and beautiful inlaid design inset with mother of pearl. It has its original side rails and stands on short turned legs with brass caps.

In very good condition and with beautiful deep colour and patination to both the burr walnut and mahogany.

It takes a standard double matress.

Measures: 51" high to headboard X 31" high to footboard X 82" long X 56" wide.

Please note that these measurements are to the extreme points of the bed.
