English 18th Century Large Antique Period Oak Settle

A very original, Georgian antique period oak settle seat that features a raised and well panelled back rest with shaped, open arms. In excellent condition, all strong and correct. The antique settle has a squab cushion seat that is held by the rope seat underneath. The front legs are turned with a shaped mid apron and then all the legs are connected by stretchers. All pegged construction, original colour and great scale. English and dating from around 1770.
