A simply stunning rare design George III large serpentine shaped chest on chest.
c1760.
The cross-banded caddy-top top is over an arrangement of six long graduating drawers, which are oak lined, and of fine dove-tail construction.
Retaining the original ormolu rococo design swan-neck handles, with some of the original gilding still evident and matching escutcheons. Also retaining the original locks to each drawer.
Original condition to the figured mahogany, with a rich colour and patina.
The chest on chest is constructed in two parts, making it very easy to move and maneuver.
Excellent antique condition. Expected signs of general age and use.
Very solid, heavy, strong and sturdy.
