A superb 19thc Dutch eating fork with carved and dated wooden handle.....the handle is surmounted by a carved lion finial below which the decoration includes chip carved and rope work bands followed by the initials and date "WP ANNO 1877".......it has an attractive silver metal ferrule with delicate rope twist edging sits between the wooden handle and the steel fork.
