N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Austrian Bronze Pin Cushion to the 19th Century.
The piece is cast in exceptional detail with every bit of fur shown, and even the underside which is not seen is cast in fabulous detail showing the Ibex’s legs. The painted then matches the fantastic quality of the casting and shows of the piece in even further detail.
An unusually large example of a cold painted bronze as these pieces are often much smaller!
The underneath is then stamped “GESCHUTZT” to one of the legs which is often found on Bergmann examples.
It measures approximately:
6” / 15.25cm Wide.
4.25” / 11cm Tall.
3.75” / 9.5cm Deep.
