Description

This is a late 19th century French bronze sculpture by Auguste Nicolas Cain (French 1822-1894). It depicts a rooster standing atop a basket marked 'A. CAIN', stamped to the rear of the basket 'SUSSE FRE' for the French foundry Susse Freres. It is on a circular base and has a gilded patina.

It is in good general condition with wear commensurate with age.
