Fine 19th century Japanese bronze brush pot,c1880. It has good proportions, is well cast, heavy for its size (0.43kg) and stands on small tripod bun feet. It has a character mark to the base and is beautifully decorated with birds, butterflies and foliage. Overall condition is good with minor surface tarnishing and small marks consistent with age and use.
