Mercier Freres was a distinguished French design studio and furniture manufacturer founded late in the 19th century in Paris on rue Faubourg Saint-Antoine in the heart of the Parisian furniture district. It was recognized as one of the leading French design firms of the late 19th century, a distinction that continued well into the 20th century. In 1924, Mercier Freres was chosen to represent France in the Exposition Française de New York, an important trade fair that was held in the Grand Central Palace. At one time the firm had branches in both Geneva and Dallas.

Solid walnut with incredible quality detailed carving throughout. In fabulous condition. with wonderful patina. Bed has rare low foot board making it ideal for the modern market.Suitable for standard king size mattress 5' x 6'6" /150cm x 200cm with no adaptation necessary. Armoire has bevelled glass mirror door and currently has shelves inside but we can add a rail if required. Bedside has rose marble top and marble interior.

We do have many beds awaiting restoration if you are looking for a particular style and can send images if requested. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.
