Description

Fine antique 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty bronze censer, c1890. This is a well cast and decorated example with lovely pierced lid and finial. The body is decorated with leopards or similar animals on both sides. It stands on tripod legs, has stylised handles and character marks to the base. It has aged well and the bronze has taken on great colour/patina following years of handling and use. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear / rubbing and a very small dent which is highlighted in the photographs (it really is tiny!) .There is a small amount of verdigris/oxidation to the finial which is what you would expect from an older bronze.
