Large early 20th century African Benin tribal bronze statue, c 1920. Depicting a warrior on horseback , this is a heavy (7.1 kg) and finely cast example with good detail and decoration. Cast in the traditional lost wax method it has the usual casting holes etc but overall condition is good with only minor wear and rubbing. It has aged well with good colour/patina.
