Outstanding Victorian Burr Walnut Wardrobe

Description

Outstanding Victorian tight burr walnut veneered 3 door wardrobe of the highest quality. Almost definitely made by TAYLORS of EDINBURGH. This outstanding piece of furniture is in near mint condition with virtually no veneer chips at all. It is a very pleasing design with the central dome top with carved decoration. All the outside is burr walnut except for the gables which are solid walnut. The wardrobe is fully fitted inside with drawers and trays in the centre part and full length hanging to either side. The wardrobe breaks down into several pieces for moving and once in place is screwed together. As can be seen there is one very large double length drawer to the bottom centre and right. The cornice is especially nice with the carved moulding decoration.

The inside original material is a bit dated and there is a small repair to one side at one of the hinges but otherwise this is in incredible condition. One of the nicest burr walnut examples of this size on the market today.
