Antique Pewter has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
A good 1 pint measure by James Moyes of Edinburgh, Scotland; who worked 1851-1891. Moyes was the last working Edinburgh Pewterer.
The handle is of curved form with typical 'ball and drop' terminal used by Moyes. The measure is substantial and very well made.
There is a clear makers mark to the inside of the base along with a verification mark for Edinburgh and a pint label to the rim.
The base is scratched engraved with an owners name and address, i can just make out the following:
Alexander .............
Bt..land
Fife.
There is also a scratched '1/2' in front of the pint label.

Cr VR 3 Edinburgh.
Condition:
Excellent condition with a lightly polished silver grey finish and some small traces of light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs that I can detect.

Base diameter: 4.125in (10.4cm).
Capacity: 20.00floz, 1 pint Imperial.
