Description:
The two-door wardrobe boasts stunning mirror matched burr walnut veneers, along with elegant curved corners and edges and original vertical shaped plastic and chrome handles. The right-hand door features the original working lock, with a working key. All internal locking catches are present and in good working condition. The doors open to reveal a mirror and a fold-down hanging rack to the inside of the right door. The main interior comprises a telescopic hanging rail to the left side, above a shoe rack at the bottom. The right-hand side of the interior comprises four storage shelves, above two drawers. The wardrobe sits on the original curved bracket feet. This is a single piece wardrobe, featuring small proportions, which enable it to be carried easily into the bedroom.
The wardrobe features a mellow burr walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a lovely colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
Condition Report:
This Art Deco figured walnut wardrobe is in excellent original condition. The wardrobe has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading external edges and interior, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. All internal door locking catches are present and in good working condition. The wardrobe retains its original shaped vertical plastic & chrome handles and wooden curved bracket feet. The brass door lock is original and in working condition, with a working key. There are no splits to the doors. The interior is clean and the wardrobe is solid in joint and ready to use.
