A large spire flagon by John Newham of London, England; who worked 1699 - 1733.
Kilsby is a village and civil parish in the Daventry district of Northamptonshire, England. It is situated a short distance south of the border with Warwickshire approximately five miles southeast of Rugby.
The flagon has a tapering cylindrical body on a large flared foot. There are bands of ovolo moulding just above the foot and also just below the upper handle terminal. The flagon has a double dome lid toped with a finial, it has an upright scroll thumbpiece. The handle is of a swan neck form.
There are a partial set of makers hall marks and a touch mark inside the base.
These flagon were for communion use in Churches.

Condition:
Excellent condition with a polished silver grey finish and some small traces of light oxide.
Repairs: There are no repairs that I could detect.
