Description:

Antique English pewter plain rim plate by Russell Laugher of Worcester, England, who worked from about 1740; his death is recorded as 1751. The plate is very well marked to the reverse with a full set of very clear touch marks, along with a crowned X, a London label and ownership initials 'SR'. The bouge of the plate is very well hammered with clear hammer marks.

Condition:

The plate is in excellent condition with a polished finish to the front, there are some knife marks to the front showing signs of use. The reverse is also polished.

Repairs: There are no repairs.

Size: 9.50 inch diameter (24.00cm).
