Antique English Pewter 9in Plain Rim Deep Plate by Francis Piggott 1736-1784.

Description:

Antique English pewter plain rim deep plate by Francis Piggott of London, England, who worked 1736-1784. The reverse of the plate has a clear touch mark along with a marriage triad of 'crowned IBM'. There is also an old Pewter Society auction label attached to the reverse. This plate has a particularly well hammered bouge.

Condition:

The plate is in very good condition with an unpolished finish to the front, there are some knife marks to the front showing signs of use. The reverse is unpolished with very light oxide.

Repairs: There are no repairs.

Size: 9.625 inch diameter (24.40cm).

Weight: 525 grams.
