Early 19th century French empire walnut sofa with shaped, scrolled back rest. Fine quality carved Egyptian heads (Caryatids) on square tapering legs. The front legs terminating in paw feet.

A good size and upholstered with quality antique hemp in our workshops.

Caryatids represent the maidens who carried sacred objects used at feasts of the gods.
