Gorgeous Antique Victorian French Mahogany & Rosewood Louise Majorelle Double Bed C1890 Wdb4692/5.4

Description

This is a superb antique french mahogany & rosewood double bedstead in the manner of louise majorelle and dating from the art nouveau period of around 1890. It has a lovely serpentine shaped top to the headboard with beautifully stylised art nouveau floral frieze above a rosewood panel and the footboard with arched top rail and central floral frieze again with rosewood panel. It has beautifully moulded side rails leading to stylised and shaped legs.

This gorgeous quality bedstead has in recent times been completely restored and polished and is in very good condition with lovely deep colour to the mahogany and rosewood.

A superb quality bedstead and which separates for ease of transporting and takes a standard double matress.

Measures: 60" high to headboard X 33" high to headboard X 82" long X 54" wide
