Description

In untouched condition since removed from its ship this heavy cast Bronze bell is still fitted with its hanging bolt which extends through a copper neck ferrule, complete with original hammer & ring.

Fantastic heavy quality & great patination with its signs of sea use.

Cast & marked “Ballou Service & Instrument, Co,Inc. New York, NY.”

This casting foundry was well known in the early 1900’s for production of maritime bells & other marine items.

Bells in original condition are rarely found, this one would undoubtedly polish to a high shine if desired & or is perfect for some form of re-use.

Overall Height to bolt top is 45cm, with the bronze casting 32cm tall, 46.5cm diameter at bell mouth.
