Description

Pair of 1930's Stanley Webb Davies Bed Heads

A superb quality, signed and dated pair of Stanley Webb Davies sweet chestnut head boards. They are both in superb condition, in the original finish and both have the Webb Davies hand carved SWD signature and they are dated 1936. They have only ever been head boards which would have been attached directly to the divan bed base. Beatifully hand made in solid sweet chestnut timber, the wood in the panels has been chosen to match and mirror each other, cut from the same tree. Top quality, hand made and featuring a diamond carved design. Made by one of Britains leading Arts & Crafts designers from his workshops in the Lake District.
