-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-A very handsome early 18th century solid oak chest-on-stand.c1720-40.The top having a protruding stepped cornice above an arrangement of two short drawers, over three long graduating drawers. In-between the drawers are attractive raised half-rounded drawer dividers, a typical design feature on this age of furniture.The base stand section having a central long shallow drawer, flanked by two square shaped deep drawers, with a shaped apron, supported by slender cabriole legs with pad feet.Beautifully rich chocolate colour to the oak and a warm patina.Very ornate brass handles and matching escutcheons.In excellent antique condition, all solid oak drawers are strong and sturdy and open smoothly.
