Newly Upholstered Regency Window Seat with Stool

19th century
Description

Fully restored and re upholstered Regency 2 seater window seat or occasional sofa with matching footstool which tucks underneath when not needed.

All finished with a decorative golden tree print which works so well contrasting with the original rich mahogany turned legs and brass corner studs.

Both the window seat and the stool have been button finished which makes such a difference to the finished look of an upholstered piece.

The seat is more comfortable than it looks, having a good angle to the back and a deep cushioned seat too. Some of these small salon sofas or window seats can be quite an "upright" seat back, but this one certainly isn't and is something that can happily be sat upon by two adults, with their feet up!
