Good quality 19th Century Grand Tour dark, almost black, patinated bronze bust of the Capuan Venus. After the antique, the original was discovered in 1750 in the amphitheatre in Capua and is now housed in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli. Mid 19th Century Italian, probably Naples, circa 1850.
