E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The pair of doors with cross banded frames with inner boxwood and ebony stringing around segmented veneers with oval bandings within boxwood stringing having central oval inlaid shells. The interior having 4 ex 5 mahogany and cedar lined sliding trays. The base having 2 short and 2 long oak lined drawers with brass swanneck handles and boxwood stringing with re-entrant corners. All on shaped bracket feet.
