Rosewood Pole Screen Of Grand Proportions

A fine quality mid Victorian (circa 1860) pole screen of grand proportions which originally held presence in a home of substance. The tripod base formed with shaped leaf carved shaped supports on button base feet, rising to beautiful turned platform, supporting a turned and knop featured pole with a turned cone finial.
Rise & fall carved rosewood screen frame with slip gilding & glazed containing a decorative coloured floral garland of flowers in petit point hand embroidery.
Pole from base to finial top measures 148cm tall. Frame with rear slide clamp will extend so as the frame top is higher than the finial. The shaped panel measures 74cm x 59cm, with the inside frame measurements being 56cm x 48cm.
All of our items are open to sensible offers. All prices assume collection from our base 3 miles from junction 22 of the M5 motorway. Packing and postage of small items by arrangement.
