Stunning very large (88cms tall) late 19th century bronze Chinese acupuncture statue,c1890.This is a quality piece, heavy (around 21kg when packed), beautifully cast and decorated with exquisite detail to the hands and features. The whole statue is profusely decorated with Chinese characters depicting the various acupuncture points used in traditional medicine. It has aged wonderfully with great colour / patina where it has been handled over the years. Overall condition is good with only very minor surface wear, exactly as you would expect from an old example. The statue has real presence and is very decorative.
