A Victorian oval copper cooking vessel of huge proportions (the second photograph shows it alongside a two gallon harvest flagon). From our experience of over 50 years in the antique trade, we would estimate that it was last used 100 years ago and then possibly demoted to the cellar and left untouched up until it''s recent resurfacing. It has been lightly oiled preserving it''s incredible patination. Fantastic for flowers or as shown with logs, this piece is very rare and awaits it''s next life.
