A really well modelled bronze okimono of a fisherman landing his catch . The sculptural quality of casting and wonderful muscular definition can only lead to one Meiji artist who was capable of producing such high quality workmanship , Miyao Eisuke . Although unsigned we totally ascribe this as his work. It is a large and delightful figure expressing the delight of the angler having caught a large fish , the quality is simply as good as this type of okimono can be produced .
