Bouré was a Belgian sculptor (1831-1883) best known for his monumental lions , his sculptures were considered remarkable for their combination of grace and power. His reputation rests largely on his large sculptural lions , characterised by their athletic musculature and majestic air .
A highly decorative and powerful image of great scale . Would work well on a hall or console table .
Minor historic nicks to the edges , but no breaks, damage or losses .
