Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Hallmarks are visible under the opening flap for 9ct gold, assayed in Birmingham with a date mark for 1907. There is a loop to one side for attachment. The loop is also marked for 9ct gold. The case contains an original half penny stamp.
