This well detailed French Walnut double bed dates from the early 1900s and has been cleaned and rewaxed so is ready for use. It has good shape in the head and foot board and both have carved detailing. The facings boast quartered veneer on the panels and the well shaped side rails are in place and again in good condition. There is a slat base available with this bed, so the only thing needed is the mattress of your choice. This is an easy situation as it is the standard double 4ft 6ins wide by 6ft 3ins long. The head board is 5ft high at the top of the carving. This will take a 5ft mattress but you would need to be aware of the length as they are usually 6ft 6ins long at that width. This must be one of the best deals available taking into account the very tidy condition and the included bed base.
