Description

This very large and impressive patinated Thai copper vase on stand has a great decorative appeal. The piece dates from around 1890 and has a lovely colour and patina. The vase is extensively decorated with beautiful detail and has cartouches around the body depicting various unusual scenes including deities, swordsmen, folk riding oxen and even being devoured by a large sea monster. The vase is raised on a later ornate hardwood oriental stand which lifts the price to a height of 88 cms .

Off the stand the vase is 64 cms high by 38 cms in diameter.
